Adoptive parents returning from China have told us about the positive
experiences they’ve had when they are able to communicate with people
there. Like finding restrooms, ordering Chinese food, explaining your purpose in China, express your love for your adopted child to the officials.
Some adoptive parents have created cards for their children to carry while in China. In the event that children are separated from their parents, the card will enable the children to seek assistance to return to their parents. We provide the translated message for you to print as a card.
$10.00 each card under 100 words, both in Chinese and English. Email me what you would like to print, and you will receive the printable messages to make your own cards.
Basic Chinese ---T007---$30.00
It is also nice to be able to understand a little Chinese while walking along Chinese streets, bargaining with the salesperson on the spot, ordering Chinese food with less confusion. If your child is over 18 months old, he or she will be able to understand a lot of Chinese. It will be a big comfort if you can say some simple Chinese to your baby, which will help the transition. Such as "mama" "baba""jiejie""gege" which are Mom, Daddy, big sister and big brother.
Each section is minimum $30.00 for 30 minutes on the phone. You may tape the voice over the phone to practice.

Pleaseemail me to set up a time (9-11pm Mountain Time preferred), which will be after the payment is received. Give me the detailed phrases that you would like to learn, I will also send you the "pinyin" by email for you to practice your Chinese. Please be aware that if you can not make the phone call on the set-up time, the payment is not refundable. I will still send you the pinyin by email. If I can not make the phone call, I will inform you 24 hours in advance to rearrange the time.
Local Classes ---T008---$200.00
I can also arrange individual classes for adults before visiting China, or for children to learn Chinese language, understanding Chinese Culture and history. Minimum 2 hours each session for adults. 6 hours for children to learn Chinese, which will be divided into 3 or 4 sessions, depending on each individual.
